8th Air Cargo Observatory Conference - Quality Awards
On April 21, SEA was the main sponsor of the eighth conference of the Air Cargo Observatory, held as part of the Quality Awards, the traditional event promoted by ANAMA that recognizes the best performance of services provided by airlines, GSAs and handlers.
The Observatory represented an opportunity to reflect on artificial intelligence applied to cargo, presented by ANAMA in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano – Contract Logistics Observatory.
During the panel, SEA highlighted 2025 as a record year for Malpensa cargo, with a 4.3% increase compared to 2024 (over 760,000 tonnes), marking the best result ever in the airport’s history and surpassing the previous record set in 2021.
The event was also an opportunity to take stock of progress in the digitalization of processes within the “Smart City delle Merci” initiative: a project aimed at increasing efficiency in the sector through the adoption of technologies and collaborative models involving all stakeholders in the supply chain and the Milano AirCargo Community.
In the evening, the Volandia Flight Museum hosted the dinner with the Quality Awards Italy ceremony, presented by ANAMA President Alessandro Albertini: an award established in 1997 that celebrates each year the operational excellence of airlines, GSAs and handlers active in the Italian air cargo sector.
