Maintenance works at Cargo City
Maintenance and modernization activities are continuing at Cargo City North as part of an ongoing program aimed at improving the quality of facilities, enhancing system safety and increasing comfort for companies and operators based in the cargo area.
Regarding lifting equipment, the elevator modernization program for Towers B and F has been underway since last May. The first phase involves elevators C05 and C13 and is scheduled for completion by September 2026. Work on elevators C06 and C12 will subsequently begin, while ensuring that at least one elevator remains operational in each office tower at all times in order to minimize disruption to users.
At the same time, refurbishment works on restroom facilities are progressing. The restoration of the restrooms located on the first floor of Tower D has recently been completed, while renovation works in the entrance lobbies of Tower A began at the end of June. The interventions will later be extended to Tower B, contributing to improved usability and appearance of common areas.
Important upgrades are also being made to building safety systems. New smoke detection and fire protection systems have been installed in the cargo offices located in Towers E and F. In addition, starting from September 2026, the program foresees the removal of existing systems that have become obsolete and no longer comply with current regulatory standards.
These initiatives confirm the ongoing commitment to maintaining Cargo City as an efficient, safe and operationally suitable environment for the airport cargo community.
