Malpensa named Sustainable Cargo Airport of the Year 2026

The recognition, presented at the Freightweek Sustainability Awards, celebrates a commitment built on concrete actions.

Every day, cargo moves through Malpensa thanks to an airport system that is evolving: increasing electrification of airport operations, electric ground handling equipment on the apron, and the introduction of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). These are all steps toward the goal of net zero emissions by 2030.
