Workshop and Working Tour by Pharmacom Italia hosted in Malpensa Airport

SEA partnered with Pharmacom Italia in organizing the event that took place on November 14th at MXP. It was an important moment of discussion and training for operators in the pharmaceutical cargo supply chain: airport manager, pharmaceutical companies, freight forwarders, warehouse handlers, temperature-controlled container manufacturers shared their respective best practices for the transportation of pharmaceutical products.
The event was organized by SEA, Pharmacom Italia, Qatar Cargo and Bcube Air Cargo with the participation of Anama, Fedespedi and Confetra. After the initial greetings at Malpensa Center, the working tour took place in Cargo City.
In Bcube warehouses the participants were illustrated how the pharmaceutical product is handled when it arrives at the airport, both if it comes from the manufacturer and is intended for export and if it comes from air transport and is intended for import. Then, there was the opportunity to eye-witness Qatar Cargo’s loading operations. In the afternoon, the workshop focused on interesting presentations and panels. SEA illustrated their sustainable development projects such as U-ELCOME and hydrogen related projects (OLGA, TH2ICINO, MALPENSA H2 and ALRIGH2T).
