ANITA, the Confindustria association representing freight transport and logistics companies operating in Italy and Europe, organized on Friday the 7th, together with ASSAEROPORTI and SEA, a day dedicated to an in-depth look at Malpensa Cargo.

Representatives of the associated companies gathered at the Secure Parking for heavy vehicles and then visited the ALHA warehouse, discovering the available infrastructures and services thanks to the expert guidance of the General Manager Alessandro Cappella.

The morning began with a roundtable discussion at the Parking main building.

Francesco Raschi, SEA’s Cargo & Real Estate Director, illustrated the infrastructure and digital development projects for Malpensa cargo.

Armando Brunini, SEA’s Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the company’s mission to provide essential services for Northern Italy, a strategic area for national entrepreneurship, while highlighting the challenges related to environmental and territorial assessments.

Carlo Borgomeo, President of Assaeroporti, reiterated Malpensa’s central role in air freight handling in Italy, stressing the importance of the Service Charter as a tool to ensure excellence. He also recalled the recent inauguration of the Secure Parking area, now fully operational.

Leopoldo Destro, the Confindustria President’s Delegate for Transport and Logistics, highlighted the need for fast and streamlined processes for goods destined for export.

Riccardo Morelli, President of ANITA, expressed interest in SEA’s projects and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration among all players in the cargo chain.

The contributions from attending operators confirmed their appreciation for the Smart City of Goods, recognized as a key lever to ensure speed, traceability and efficiency in Malpensa cargo operations.
