On Sunday, May 10, after 55 days of intense work and in full compliance with the planned schedule, runway 17R/35L at Malpensa Airport returned to operation. 

On April 21, SEA was the main sponsor of the eighth conference of the Air Cargo Observatory, held as part of the Quality Awards, the traditional event promoted by ANAMA that recognizes the best performance of services provided by airlines, GSAs and handlers. 

ANITA, the Confindustria association representing freight transport and logistics companies operating in Italy and Europe, organized on Friday the 7th, together with ASSAEROPORTI and SEA, a day dedicated to an in-depth look at Malpensa Cargo.

On September 17, the Shanghai Airport Authority visited Malpensa. SEA’s Cargo team, together with the Aviation and Client Management teams, presented the airport’s infrastructure and operations, with a particular focus on cargo activities.

Since September 22, a new parking area has been operational in Cargo City South, in front of WFS, featuring new buffer spaces for articulated trucks (5) and vans (2).The car (34) and motorcycle (2) spaces for staff/visitors have been suitably redesigned.

SEA Milan Airports has launched a strategic initiative to expand the cargo infrastructure at Milan Malpensa Airport.

The 2025 edition of Transport Logistic – Air Cargo Europe broke all records: 2,277 exhibitors from 73 countries and over 77,000 visitors. For the first time in the event's history, two entire halls were dedicated to air cargo. 

SEA Milan Airports will participate in the upcoming edition of Transport Logistic - Air Cargo Europe 2025, taking place from June 2nd to 5th in Munich, with a stand entirely dedicated to Malpensa Cargo.

Starting from April 1st, 2025, the new Access and Parking Regulation for Cargo City North will come into effect. The update aims to reduce congestion and improve the safety of traffic flow and operations within the area. For more details, please refer to the updated regulation and the attached communication.

SEA partnered with Pharmacom Italia in organizing the event that took place on November 14th at MXP.

U-ELCOME PROJECT During the nights between July 8th and 10th, the first test flights using electric vertical take-off and landing drones for cargo transport were conducted from Malpensa Cargo City.

On July 1st MSC Air Cargo Boeing 777-200F with Italian registration code landed directly from Boeing facility in Everett. Named "Alfirk," it will undergo necessary checks at Malpensa before being deployed on the MXP-HKG route by AlisCargo Airlines.
